As Chaplain at the South Barwon Football and Netball Club I was involved with Sean in the “Read the Play” program. I found Sean to be a great help with educating the Under 16 boys and Under 15 girls in understanding depression and other forms of mental health issues. Sean is highly regarded with his knowledge and care he brings to the South Barwon Football and Netball Club.

I have known Allan in a professional capacity for the last 5 years and in particular have shared his passion and commitment in developing clinical supervision as a form of formalized reflection on practice in the mental health arena. During this time he has demonstrated an extensive theoretical grasp of the subject, which has included developing ways of managing and innovating change on a large scale in mental health practice.
Allan and I have since co-facilitated a range of development workshops in clinical supervision in the State of Victoria as small training workshops in practice, joint conference presentations and larger scale implementation workshops. During this time I have observed Allan’s unique down to earth approach in engaging practitioners’ in which he has been able to actively draw on his personal experience and learning and present as a credible role model and natural leader for its development in practice.
In my experience Allan is an excellent communicator who is able to reach a range of health care professionals. His main strength is his passion and commitment not just too clinical supervision but in supporting others to bring out the best in them. He is able to work on his own initiative but also excels in the group situation. I am sure Allan would be an asset for any organization that places a premium on personal integrity and one in which there is the opportunity to support the lifelong learning of health professionals. I would unreservedly support any application made by Allan and would have no hesitation in employing his expertise should such an opportunity arise within the UK.
Dr Daniel Nicholls Allan is a professional health clinician and educator with extensive experience in public mental health and has a broad ranging knowledge and skill base. His ability to engage others in facilitating knowledge and skill development in a confident and competent manner is commendable. Allan also has a wonderful capacity to stimulate interest and excitement in the learning process.
I have been working with Allan for many years as we have been part of a small group leading the way forward in Clinical Supervision in Victoria. We have cooperated on a number of projects to foster Clinical Supervision internationally and locally
